By downloading, accessing, or using Kype™ Fishing, Kype Maps, or Kype Academy (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Account & Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Kype Academy academy access requires an approved application. We reserve the right to approve or decline applications at our discretion.
User Content
You retain ownership of catch photos, trip data, posts, and comments you submit ("User Content").
By posting, you grant Kype a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your User Content within the Service (e.g., in community feeds, on the map, in catch logs).
You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not violate any law or third-party right.
You may delete your User Content at any time, which removes it from the Service.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including fishing without a valid license or in violation of local regulations
Post content that is harassing, hateful, or infringes on others' rights
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service
Share false or misleading catch or location data
Use the GPS trip tracking feature to monitor or track another person without consent
Intellectual Property
The Kype™ brand, app design, code, and original content are owned by Kype Fishing. Species images are sourced from open-data providers (GBIF, FishBase) under their respective licenses. Map data is provided by Google Maps and OpenStreetMap contributors.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Fishing conditions, weather, regulations, and species data may be inaccurate or outdated.
Always verify current regulations with your local wildlife agency before fishing.
GPS and map data may be unreliable in remote areas. Do not rely solely on the app for navigation or safety.
You are responsible for your own safety while fishing and using GPS features outdoors.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kype Fishing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost catches, navigational errors, or regulatory violations.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
