The anglers who
put the gear to work.
The Kype Pro Team is a hand-picked roster of working guides, shop owners, avid anglers, and content creators who live on the water. They field-test every piece of gear before it ships — lures, apparel, waders, the lot — speak straight about what works, and stand for the fisheries they fish. This is what it means to earn the rise with us.
Earned, not applied for.
The Kype Pro Team isn't a discount club — it's a working partnership. Guides, shop owners, avid anglers, and content creators field-test the gear, shape the products, and stand for the fisheries. Here's what we ask of every name on the roster.
Field Test
Pro staff put prototypes through a full season before any gear reaches an angler. Dive curves, hook-up ratios, fabric durability, seam integrity — all proven on real fish, in real water.
Speak Straight
No notes, no filter. Pro feedback drives every iteration — what suspends, what dives true, what wears out, what fails. If a product doesn't earn it, it doesn't ship.
Conservation First
Pro staff champion the waters they fish — access, habitat, and the future of the sport. Representing Kype means representing the resource first.
Represent
Wear the brand on the water, at the shop, and at events. Lead by example, mentor new anglers, and carry the Earn The Rise mantra into the community.
Pro Pricing
Exclusive pro pricing across the full Kype lineup — for the angler, not the resale. Gear is for your hands only, season after season.
Pros who live on the water.
Colton Reyes
Montrose, Colorado
Colorado native who chases trout and steelhead across the Rockies. A former fly-shop manager, Colton field-tests every prototype in high-country rivers before it ever reaches anglers.
Mara Bishop
Bristol Bay, Alaska
Owner-operator of a floatplane lodge in the heart of Bristol Bay. Mara hosts six guests a week and puts Kype swimbaits through a full season of silver, king, and leopard rainbow water.
Tate Holloway
Flaming Gorge, UT/WY
A suspended-fish specialist. Tate lives for the dead-stick hang — he's the reason our crankbaits hold neutral buoyancy at depth on the pause, proven on Gorge mackinaw and pike.
Sierra Lang
South Padre Island, Texas
Poling the shallows from October through May. Sierra runs Kype patterns in the salt and reports back on hook-up ratios, finish durability, and what survives toothy predators.
Boone Aikens
Cotter, Arkansas
Guides the White and Norfork 365 days a year. Boone's drift-boat program is where suspending crankbaits earn their keep on low-water brown trout — the pause is the strike.
Hadley Croft
Patagonia, Argentina
Runs spey-focused camps from Alaska to Patagonia. Hadley tests Kype gear against the biggest, most pressured trout on the planet and shapes every iteration with straight feedback.
Dane Mercer
Pacific Northwest
Filmmaker and die-hard angler behind a growing on-water channel. Dane puts Kype prototypes in front of the camera and on real fish, documenting what suspends, what dives true, and what earns the rise.
