Match the hatch.
Earn the strike.
You've watched fish follow your lure, inspect it, and turn away. The Kype Minnow is built with a softer compound that compresses on the strike — so fish hold on instead of spitting it out. Six true-to-life forage patterns, three sizes, and an optional scent trail. Match the hatch. Earn the strike.

Slow roll it. Let it fall.
A soft plastic swimbait earns its keep with a slow, deliberate presentation. The tail does the swimming — your job is to keep it in the strike zone long enough for a fish to find it. Here's the retrieve that turns follows into eats.
Rig for the Bite
Match the rig to the water — a weighted swimbait hook or jig head for stillwaters and reservoirs, a lighter belly-weighted hook when fish are suspended high in the column. Keep the hook gap exposed for clean hooksets.
Count It Down
Cast, then let the bait free-fall on a slack line. Count it down — one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two — until it reaches the depth where fish are marking. The slow sink itself is a trigger; many strikes come on the fall.
Slow-Roll the Retrieve
Start a steady, slow retrieve just fast enough to kick the tail. The goal isn't speed — it's keeping the bait crawling through the strike zone. A slow roll lets the soft plastic do the work, swimming with a natural, undulating action.
Bump the Bottom
Let the bait occasionally drag and tick the bottom — rocks, weed edges, drop-offs. That contact creates a deflection and a puff of sediment that imitates a fleeing baitfish and calls predators in from a distance.
Dead-Stick the Pause
When a fish follows, kill the retrieve and let the bait fall on slack line. The helpless, gliding drop is what seals the deal — followers that tracked the moving bait will eat it the instant it loses momentum.

Built to be eaten.
Scented or Unscented
Choose a long-lasting forage-fish attractant that disperses on the retrieve so fish hold on longer — or run unscented for a clean, neutral presentation.
Realistic Patterns
Six custom-matched forage and trout patterns, printed in true-to-life color on a soft, durable plastic.
Tough & Reusable
Ribbed, ribbontail soft plastic that swims true and holds up fish after fish. Resealable tub included.
Swims True At Any Speed
A ribbed ribbontail profile that kicks and undulates from slow-roll to burn — the tail does the swimming, you keep it in the strike zone.
Proven on the water before it ever reaches you.
Every swimbait in this series is fished, worn, and refined by working guides and die-hard anglers — not a boardroom. Here's who puts it through its paces.
Mara Bishop
Bristol Bay, Alaska
"Six guests a week, all season, in silver and leopard rainbow water. If a bait survives Bristol Bay, it survives anywhere."
Boone Aikens
Cotter, Arkansas
"I guide the White 365 days a year. The pause is the strike — if a crankbait doesn't hang dead-still, it doesn't make the boat."
Tate Holloway
Flaming Gorge, UT/WY
"Suspended fish, dead-stick hang. I'm the reason our crankbaits hold neutral buoyancy at depth — proven on Gorge mackinaw and pike."
The proof is in the field reports.
